It is so synonymous with the football-mad nation that when Napoli wore a special version of their home kit in tribute to Diego Maradona's tragic and untimely death, it needed no explanation. It was as much a tribute to Maradona's homeland than the man himself. La Albiceleste is classic and timeless.
But everything changes - even the sacred uniform of a football-mad nation. Argentina's new home kit is set to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2021, but FootyHeadlines have got their hands on leaked images, which show a radical design is on the cards. The simple blue and white has been adorned with...camouflage.
That's right. As if to encourage suggestions that the great Lionel Messi can occasionally go missing for his national team, the new home jersey features an elaborate (and needless) camo design that will be worn during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers as well as Copa America 2021.
What do you think? A fresh new update of classic design, or unnecessary tinkering with a tried and tested formula?
