The top six are in!

The PFA Players' Player of the Year nominees are in, with the final six best in the league making it to the last showdown.

So, who has been nominated? We'll dive straight in.

First is the maverick Rayan Cherki of Manchester City. World-renowned now for his dribbling ability, flair and serial entertainment, the summer signing was one of Pep Guardiola's best players in his final campaign. A Premier League debutant from Lyon, the French international scored four goals, including that dazzling solo goal v Arsenal, and also provided a brilliant 12 assists. Not a bad return for a first season in the big time.

Next up is another City player, the world-class goal-machine Erling Haaland. With 27 goals to his name, the Norwegian international naturally scooped up the Golden Boot for the third time in four seasons. It's just what he does, season-after-season. Propelling the Citizens' seasonal title-charge, Haaland also provided teammates with eight assists.

Thirdly comes the first of the Arsenal title-winners. Declan Rice, a Rolls Royce in the centre of the park, had a sensational season pulling the strings at the Emirates as Mikel Arteta's side clinched the Prem for the first time in 20 years. A major part of the Gunners' transformation since joining from East London rivals West Ham, his stats were top-notch. Nine goal contributions from CM. 145 duels won. 70 tackles. An 87% pass completion rate. Just a total all-rounder, his shouts for the trophy are justified.

After Rice follows his fellow Gunners teammate, the worthy Golden Glove winner David Raya. Arsenal's world-class shot-stopper didn't just claim the most clean sheets in the league, he won clearly. An almost ever-present, he kept 19 clean sheets in 37 matches, keeping the opposition out in over half of his matches. And who could forget that mammoth save at West Ham, when the game was goalless and Matheus Fernandes was clean through on goal. A worthy title-winner, a potential POTY winner?

Of course, there was going to be more Gunners to add to the list. Their third nominee is the centre-back colossus Gabriel. Starting 32 matches, the Brazilian international formed a formidable defensive duo with William Saliba, boasting the league's meanest defence. Feared from corners too, Gabriel also managed to bag an additional three goals for the title-toppers.

The last nominee is of course, the record breaking, assist machine, Portuguese magnifico, Bruno Fernandes. Claiming the elusive most assists in a single Premier League season on the final day with a phenomenal 21, Man United's maestro and captain has been dynamite since joining in 2020. He's rightfully lauded the best post-Fergie era signing and is up for the top award as he spearheaded the Red Devils back to their Champions League charge.
