The decision now means that Mings has been given a 5-game ban and the club have responded with an official statement. The Cherries will study the "detailed reasons of the commission" but have stated that they find it "extraordinary that the charges can be described as 'proven' when there is absolutely no evidence to prove the incident was intentional." The statement goes on to stress the "background and character" of Mings while highlighting his impressive disciplinary record.
