Sitting in the front of the wing is like being behind a speaker. All of the sounds of the engine and the disturbed air are projected away from you." While sitting in front of the wing won't shield you from a crying baby or a snoring passenger, it should increase your chances of a more relaxing flight. Sadly the front of the plane tends to be where the expensive seats are though.
