Tyson Fury reveals private email offer from Eddie Hearn

Tyson Fury had a very solid offer on the table from Eddie Hearn when he decided to make his comeback.

As Fury put the finishing touches on his return to fitness after almost three years away from the ring, the undefeated heavyweight was in high demand. Before Fury signed a deal with promoter Frank Warren, 'The Gypsy King' entertained an offer from Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn. Fury is currently preparing to fight for his first shot at the WBC heavyweight title and will meet fellow unbeaten behemoth Deontay Wilder on December 1. Hearn has had his say on the bout, which will take place in Los Angeles' Staples Centre in winter, and claimed that it's not the fight that fans want to see. "Wilder against Fury, if it happens, is a really good fight to find out who's the second best heavyweight in the world," Hearn told FightHype. "It's not a fight that people are crying for; the one they're crying for is Joshua-Wilder and we must make it happen."   Hearn's highest profile fighter, Anthony Joshua, was initially in talks to fight Wilder in a bout which would decide the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis but negotiations fell apart. Fury pounced at the chance to add the WBC belt to his collection but Hearn doubts that the Brit will manage to wrest the title away from Wilder. "He's not fit, he's not ready but it's happening," Hearn added. "The only way Fury can beat Deontay Wilder is just to bore him to sleep, just to hold him and frustrate him. "He can't knock Deontay Wilder out." Fury has responded to Hearn's criticism by releasing a private email from the head of Matchroom Boxing last November which contained a serious offer. https://twitter.com/Tyson_Fury/status/1049004092217905152 Hearn proposed a three-fight deal which would have seen Fury earn £3 million for the first bout but Fury opted to join Warren's stable and has made £5 million from each of his two fights this year. So it's safe to say that he doesn't regret his decision.
