Trent Alexander-Arnold named Premier League Young Player of the Year

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has been named the Premier League Young Player of the Season after a stunning campaign in which he helped his side to their first league title in three decades. The Reds' number 66 was an ever-present during the club's Premier League campaign, appearing in all 38 matches, and continued his exemplary form from last season's Champions League winning campaign. Alongside left-back Andy Robertson, Alexander-Arnold has been one of Jurgen Klopp's most potent attacking threats, and provided 13 assists during the 2019/20 season. He also scored four times. Over the past three campaigns, he has 26 assists, and has for many people redefined what is expected of an attacking full-back. Alexander-Arnold has also been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year award, alongside Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane, as well as Danny Ings (Southampton), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Nick Pope (Burnley) and Jamie Vardy (Leicester City).
