The police got involved ahead of penalty shootout between Burnley and Leeds

You don't often see police take to the football pitch.

Leeds supporters were left perplexed after 120 minutes of their Carabao Cup clash with Burnley on Tuesday night, when a police officer seemingly advised the referee against allowing the penalty shootout to take place at the away supporters' end of Turf Moor. The sides could not be separated after extra time, which followed a scintillating final few minutes of regular time in which three goals were scored, so a shootout was ordered to decide the winner.
