Mo Salah has moved to clarify comments he made after Liverpool's 4-0 win over Manchester United on Tuesday after some viewers mistakenly believed they were about United's players. Salah scored twice as Liverpool strolled to a comfortable victory over their rivals at Anfield, a result which moves them ahead of Manchester City at the Premier League summit - if only for 24 hours.

Speaking to Sky Sports after full-time, the Egyptian was asked why he thought Liverpool had been so dominant in their games against United this season. "They make our life easier, in the midfield and in the back," he replied.
