Roy Keane says Manchester United players will cost Solskjaer his job

Roy Keane has taken fire at Manchester United with both barrels, labelling their performance against Tottenham Hotspur 'disgraceful', and claiming the current crop of players will cost the manager his job. Speaking ahead of England's international friendly against Wales, Keane was asked what he thought of United's 6-1 defeat to Spurs because, well, international football is dull and United being bad makes for great soundbites, especially when Keane is talking. "The performance against Spurs was disgraceful," Keane said, just getting warmed up. "A disgrace to the badge, some of the players' performances, too many bluffers. "Ultimately, I think it will cost Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] his job." He continued, suggesting United's players stopped trying to José Mourinho before his sacking. "I've said it before, they threw the previous manager under the bus," he said. "They'll do exactly the same to Ole." https://twitter.com/itvfootball/status/1314277330714611713 A former Manchester United player sticking up for his former teammate is becoming commonplace in punditry, and Solskjaer is not the cause of United's problems. But there is a strong case to argue that he is not qualified to manage United and tactically has been shown up on several occasions, Sunday's defeat to Spurs being one of them. Whether the players are playing for him and simply failing due to the various circumstances at play, fatigue being one of them, or they've completely given up on Solskjaer and are, to quote Keane, throwing him under the bus, only the players truly know. What we all know is that bad football makes Keane very angry. Long may it continue.
