Real Madrid president reportedly willing to call Cristiano Ronaldo’s bluff

Florentino Perez is backing Rafa Benitez, according to Spanish reports.

Spanish sports daily AS  reported on Sunday that Cristiano Ronaldo issued an ultimatum to the Real Madrid president. The report stated that Ronaldo told Perez after the recent hammering at the hands of Barcelona that if Benitez remains as manager at the Bernabeu, he'll be forced to find another club. Now, AS are claiming that the 68-year-old billionaire is willing to let his Portuguese talisman walk in order to reassert his authority at the Bernabeu, suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo may be sold in the next summer window. This is interesting news for Manchester United fans as Louis van Gaal sent the British tabloids into a frenzy with his comments on potentially bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.
