Luis Suarez gave Diego Godin a very nasty black eye during Atletico Madrid’s win over Barcelona

Champions League holders Barcelona were knocked out by Atletico Madrid for the second time in three years on Wednesday night.

Atleti's back-four was once again led by the outstanding Diego Godin as they somehow managed to keep Neymar, Messi and Suarez quiet. A brace from Antoine Griezmann sent Barca packing as the home side ran out 3-2 winners on aggregate. Talismanic defender Godin might be feeling a bit sore this morning though after a stray elbow from his international teammate caught him right in the eye-socket but we're sure that he won't mind too much - especially with a Champions League semi-final against Bayern, Real Madrid or Man City to look forward to.
