Now, according to Brazilian TV channel Esporte Interativo, PSG have been given such an indication from Neymar, who has accepted their offer.
The Marca story followed an article in Sport - the imaginatively named Barcelona-based sports newspaper - which claimed that Neymar felt his progress at Barca was being hampered by Lionel Messi.
Perhaps significantly (perhaps not), the news comes just weeks after Messi agreed a contract extension at the Camp Nou.
If such a move does happen, Marca add that PSG would be willing to pay the 25-year-old €30m (£26.6m) annually. Unsurprisingly, both Manchester clubs are also said to have had an interest in the player, although the enormous transfer fee is thought to have been too much, even for them.
