Although the severity of the injury is yet to be confirmed, Hany Ramzy, The Pharaohs' assistant coach, suggested his decision to withdraw from the match was more a precaution than anything that may keep him out for the long-term. "He will be examined to determine the details, but in my opinion it is not dangerous." So far this season, Salah has struggled to recapture the kind of goal-scoring form he displayed in his first campaign at Anfield - one which saw hime named PFA Player of the Year. Liverpool entered the international break third in the Premier League, level on points with Manchester City and Chelsea but behind them by virtue of their slightly inferior goal difference.
