Liverpool’s Molly McCann apologises for missing weight for UFC debut

It was a busy morning for the towel.

Only two fighters missed weight for UFC Liverpool and, as fate would have it, they happened to be the hometown heroes. Molly McCann left it late to weigh in as she showed up with just seconds remaining in Saturday's two-hour weigh-in window and weighed in at 127lbs for her flyweight meeting with Gillian Robertson. McCann was given an additional hour to cut the pound but the weight just wouldn't come off and she re-weighed at 127lbs too. A family emergency delayed Till but the bout is believed to be going ahead after 'Wonderboy' agreed to a stipulation which means the Liverpool fighter can weigh no more than 188lbs on Sunday afternoon.
