Liverpool fans rage as Dominic Solanke goal is disallowed for handball against West Brom

Liverpool recorded another disappointing result on Wednesday night, and were left cursing the referee again.

On Sunday, Jurgen Klopp's team dominated the Merseyside derby against Everton, but couldn't add to Mohamed Salah's first-half goal. Dejan Lovren was deemed to have fouled Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the referee awarded a penalty and Wayne put it away to make it 1-1 in the second period. What should have been a comfortable victory turned into a disappointing draw, and it was a similar story against West Brom on Wednesday night. Alan Pardew's team frustrated Liverpool at Anfield, and managed to hold out for a goalless draw. Klopp's side, once again, dominated possession and created all the chances, but couldn't find a winner, despite Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho all starting. They did, however, have the ball in Ben Foster's net after 83 minutes, but the referee Paul Tierney ruled it out as the ball made contact with Dominic Solanke's arm before hitting the net. The 20-year-old striker thought he had opened his account for Liverpool, and didn't intentionally hit the ball with his arm, but the referee deemed it to be a handball.
