Liverpool fan who composed viral chant is back with another belter

The Liverpool fan who composed a viral chant about their attacking trio back in 2018 has returned with another belter in celebration of Reds manager Jurgen Klopp. You might remember Richy Sheehy, musician and comedian, from his appearances on TV to sing his 'Oh, Mané Mané' chant. And the Irishman has returned, this time posting a new chant to his TikTok page, expressing support to Klopp at a difficult time in the manager's life. Klopp's mother recently passed away and the German was unable to fly home to attend the funeral due to Covid-19 restrictions. His Liverpool side are also struggling on the pitch, all of which has clearly taken a toll on Klopp - as it would anyone. Sheehy explains in his TikTok video that he wanted to make the song for Klopp because "his mother passed away during the week, we've got a terrible injury crisis, the media are constantly at him, and I want him to know how much we really love him." The lyrics are a heartfelt tribute to the man who brought Liverpool their first league title in 30 years. Oh man Jurgen Klopp, He makes my heart go giddy-up, Best team since we wore Candy, He's our second Shankly, Oh man Jurgen Klopp, He brought us the European cup,  And then he brought the league too,  We should get him a statue. I love you, I love you, I love you so, And I want you to know, I need you, I need you, I need you so, Please don't ever go. And repeat.

Sheehy's song has attracted ridicule from rival fans, but the less cynical might see it for what it is: a heartwarming message for a man who has brought joy to so many people over the past few years.
