Think you're good at walking? Lionel Messi is better at football. Think you've gotten this whole breathing thing down after doing it every second of your entire life? Messi is better at football. Think you've sussed out how to sleep pretty well? You better believe Messi's football shits all over your solid seven hours. All day. That is not to say that you're not good at any of these things. We'd wager that you're a good walker, the fact that you're still breathing is a testament to your skill, and the lack of bags under your eyes just scream 'heavy sleeper', but you're still not as good at any of those things as Messi is at football. This is because while each of walking, talking and sleeping are natural to some if not all of us, football is significantly more natural to Messi. Put a video of one of us walking confidently down the street next to a video of Messi kicking around a football and we'd all look like stumbling, drunk toddlers by comparison, reaching out for an arm chair to hold onto before falling back on our arses and waiting for everyone else's reaction before deciding whether or not we should cry. Thankfully, we don't have to compare ourselves to Messi, because that would be an exercise in painful, abject failure, and none of us deserve that. What we can - nay should - do is relax, stop comparing ourselves to the greatest football of his generation, and simply enjoy him, because we are some of the extremely minuscule number of people who are lucky enough to be on this earth at the same time as him.
