McGregor vs. Mayweather will fight at 154lbs, they will wear 10-ounce gloves, the bout will be 12 rounds, Showtime will broadcast it and Mayweather Promotions will promote it. It's been suggested that up-and-coming fighters from Mayweather's stable will fill out the card, which needs no added publicity given the nature of the evening's headliner. UFC fighters did not hesitate to throw their names in the ring for similar MMA vs. boxing contests but that seems more like wishful thinking at this moment in time. However McGregor's head coach has a novel idea for the higher-ups in Mayweather Promotions when it comes to padding out the card.
