An Ipswich fan who claims that he was "offered out" by Roy Keane has revealed what started the row which is now going viral on social media.
The incident happened last night after Ruben Amorim's first game as United coach, during which his side drew 1-1 with an inspired Ipswich side.
Marcus Rashford hailed in the Amorim era after just two minutes tapping in from close range following great wing work from Amad Diallo.
However, there was no dream start for the new Portuguese manager as Omari Hutchinson scored a beauty on the cusp of halftime to draw level with United.
Ultimately the game would end 1-1 with the spoils being shared.
The Sky Sports panel that night included former United captain and legend Roy Keane, who also had a spell as Ipswich manager.
After the game, Keane was seen exchanging heated words with some home supporters, appearing to tell one that he would "wait for him in the carpark".
Neil Finbow, the Ipswich fan allegedly caught in this row, took to Facebook to explain Sunday's incident.
He wrote: "New claim to fame just been offered out into the carpark by Roy Keane after a few choice words even Jamie Redknapp had to come over to get him away just ya average Sunday evening out."
Upon being asked by one commenter what they spoke about, he mentioned that he reminded Keane of his time as Ipswich manager, during which he oversaw a year and half of underwhelming performances.
Finbow replied: "Yep did remind him he set us back five years and ruined our football club - I also mentioned he wasn't fit to step foot anywhere near our ground.
"Oh and I mentioned about him walking out on a World Cup and breaking [Alf-Inge] Halaand's leg and putting it in his autobiography I hate the bloke and that's been boiling up since he got sacked all those years ago."
In a separate video, he shared video footage of the incident with the caption: "offering us all outside".
"Apart from Keane being a knob that was an enjoyable game against a so called "one of the biggest clubs in the world" proud of the boys in blue ITID," he wrote.
Roy Keane is no stranger to hostility, and it's certain he would be losing any sleep over the matter.
