Here is exactly what Conor McGregor is eating in the lead-up to Floyd Mayweather clash

Conor McGregor doesn't have the toughest weight cut of his career ahead of him and he's certainly eating well.

'The Notorious' is most accustomed to dropping down to 145lbs for his Octagon outings, having fought seven of his 10 UFC contests at featherweight, but he will only have to come down to 154lbs for his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather at the end of this month. However he'll still have to undergo a weight cut and he's re-enlisted the help of respected nutritionist and former MMA fighter, George Lockhart, to take care of his dietary needs as he prepares to take on one of the greatest boxers of all time. Lockhart has been working with the Irishman since November, 2015 when McGregor was putting the finishing touches on his training camp for his featherweight unification clash with Jose Aldo at UFC 194. That cut was so successful that he's returned to Lockhart time and time again. And Lockhart has been preparing McGregor's meals throughout this fight camp. Lockhart recently explained the different approach he and McGregor are taking for the August 26 contest, considering grappling won't be coming into play against 'Money'.

"With an MMA match, with wrestling and having someone on top of you, weight matters – with wrestling it does have a huge effect. With boxing, I believe speed is key," Lockhart told MMA Junkie. "If I’m bigger than you but can’t hit you, it doesn’t make a whole lot of difference. Not as much grappling, the referee pulls you apart as soon as that does happen.... I want to make sure the fighter is lower in weight, the cut is not as big and the reload is not as much."
