Floyd Mayweather douses Conor McGregor weight rumours with gasoline, sparks match

Floyd Mayweather heard some things about Conor McGregor's last minute-preparations.

If Conor McGregor hadn't labelled himself a '170 lb Irish gorilla' who's going to 'rip (Floyd Mayweather's) head off and play football with it,' he may have avoided the inevitable weight-management rumour. Mayweather said this week that he believes 'The Notorious' is 'extremely heavy' and is unlikely to make the 154 lb weight limit for their August 26 money fight. Should McGregor come in overweight, Mayweather reckons they will still duke it out inside the ring, but the Dubliner will be punished with a fine. He told the site that he heard McGregor's been using IV bags to rehydrate, which is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned list of procedures.

"I do my homework. I've been hearing a lot about him getting IV bags. I don't know if it's true. I'm just saying, 'rumours'."

"They saying he got like seven IV bags and with the Nevada commission, that's illegal from what I was told. Once again, I don't know if it's 'true'. 'Allegedly' he got 'seven IV bags'."

USADA granted Mayweather a retroactive therapeutic use exemption for use of IV infusion of saline and vitamins the day before his 'Fight of the Century' against Manny Pacquiao in 2015. Mayweather claimed the measure was taken to combat dehydration.
