2. Give the armband back to Mo Salah
I advised you not to captain the Egyptian King last weekend, and it paid off as he bagged zero (o) goals against Palace, while Aguero put three past Huddersfield, but this week it's worth reinstating Liverpool's talisman as your captain. The Reds play Brighton, who might have beaten Manchester United last weekend, but do not have a good record against Liverpool. In their last two games against Liverpool, the Seagulls have lost by an aggregate score of 9-1.
3. Try to fit as many Liverpool players in as possible
For reasons explained in point two, Liverpool are going to have some fun against Brighton, and may well share the goals around. Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino are the obvious picks, but Andy Robertson and James Milner could be cheaper but equally lucrative signings, chipping in with assists and set-pieces between them.
4. Get Richarlison before his purple patch ends
The Brazilian winger has hit the ground running at Everton but we all remember what happened last season, don't we? He stopped scoring in November. If he repeats that form this season, we only have three months of goalscoring left from Richarlison before he - and Everton - fade into the mid-table abyss for the remainder of the season. Take advantage now. The Toffees are also playing Bournemouth, who can be leakier than a broken boiler.
5. Now that Harry Kane is off the mark, bring him in
If, like me, you were concerned that Harry Kane's August curse would strike again, and kept him out of your team with the intention of bringing him in once we reached September, you are sensibly cautious. But now that Kane has finally shaken the monkey off his back, you can expect him to start banging in the goals.
Spurs travel to Old Trafford on Monday night, with a confident Kane coming up against Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelöf, who were less than impressive against Brighton last weekend. If your finances permit it, get him in your team ASAP.
