Court date set for Leicester fan charged with assaulting Nottingham Forest players

He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 24 February

A man has been charged after police said three Nottingham Forest players were assaulted during their 4-1 FA Cup victory over Leicester City at the weekend. He was banned for life by Leicester and arrested following the indent at the City Ground, with the assault occurring after Forest captain Joe Worrall had scored to give the home side a 3-0 lead. As the celebrations continued, a Leicester fan ran on to the pitch and appeared to throw several punches at the group of players.
