Ajaz Patel makes history to take 10 wickets in an innings

Patel claimed all ten of India's wickets in Mumbai, the city of his birth

New Zealand's Ajaz Patel made cricketing history on Saturday by becoming just the third bowler ever to claim all 10 wickets in a single Test innings. Patel took all four of India's wickets on day one of the second Test in Mumbai, the city of his birth, on Friday, before claiming the remaining six on Saturday. India were bowled out for 325, with the left-arm spinner posting figures of 10-119. Two of his wickets were clean bowled, three were lbw and the remaining five were catches. "It is pretty surreal. I don't think you ever really believe that you are going to achieve something like that, so to do it is pretty special. I am in illustrious company," Patel said later. "I think I am very fortunate. The stars have aligned for me to have an occasion like that here in Mumbai, the place I was born. It was quite a special occasion for me and my family. "It was about finding good rhythm and being repetitive, asking good questions of the batters."
