A Republican lawmaker has warned Donald Trump that the war with Iran 'won't make the Epstein files go away'.
It's been widely reported that the war in Iran has succeeded in bringing the Jeffrey Epstein scandal down in the news rankings.
However Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, who was a huge part of bringing the Epstein Files Transparency Act through Congress last year, says that the war cannot be used as a smokescreen to keep the files out of plain sight.
He said on Twitter: “PSA: Bombing a country on the other side of the globe won’t make the Epstein files go away, any more than the Dow going above 50,000 will."
Others have also pointed out the connection between Epstein and the Iran war. Saturday Night Live star, James Austin Johnson, appeared on the show as Trump, saying: “I launched this attack after me and my Board of Peace decided we were bored of peace.
“As we all know, Iran has been two weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon for like the last 15 years or something, so we had to act now. War, what is it good for? Distracting from the Epstein files!”
