"After days and days of trying to track my own tickets down it took a face off at my local postal sorting office to retrieve them... As most of you are aware there is a fee to pay because of insufficient postage cost. I paid £3.10."It appears a clerical error has lead the FA to pay too small an amount in postage fees on Euro 2016 tickets. Fans waiting to get their tickets ahead of the start of the tournament on Friday are having to go to their local Post Office and pay the remaining fee to collect their tickets.
In an unfortunate twist, Daniel also claims he did not receive any slips notifying him of the postage waiting for him. So he has recommended that other fans that are still waiting for tickets to investigate.
"I did not receive a green or red card through my door they where simply waiting at the depot not even ready to be sent out. I urge everyone who hasn't already done so to go down and ask for them to physically check through there post that requires payment. There was a que [sic] behind me so they where reluctant at first but I just told them I'd been on the phone to Royal Mail who sent me there for someone to physically check."In the comment section of the forum, a number of fans have talked about paying the remaining £3.10 postage fee to finally get their hands on a ticket. As one person, David, explains: "No, they [the FA] put NO postage on it at all, but sent it via a £1.60 service." Others on Twitter have raised the same issue: https://twitter.com/IamCarpey/status/739053693128081408 https://twitter.com/martlufc/status/739086891744694273 https://twitter.com/mattcole183/status/739023419233185792 https://twitter.com/TheRealLuc/status/738740032224296960 It's an unfortunate situation, with many fans across the country due to travel to France this week yet to receive their tickets. We can only hope fans make a quick stop in their Post Office to see if their tickets are waiting for them at a depot. JOE has contacted the FA for comment on the situation.
