Fighting has broken out at the Cenotaph as right-wing protesters attempt to reach the monument in London.
A large crowd of people carrying St George's flags were seen walking along the embankment chanting "England til I Die", reports Sky News.
While police attempted to stop them from reaching Whitehall the group pushed through the blockade with some shouting "let's have them" as officers began to hit them with batons.
Sky News reports that bottles were then thrown at police by the demonstrators, many of whom were wearing masks.
The incident occurred just moments before the Armistice two-minute silence was due to take place to commemorate the end of the First World War.
