FBI investigators say Las Vegas shooting has no connection to Isis

A statement from the FBI has confirmed that there have been no links established between Isis and the Las Vegas massacre.

At least 58 people were killed and more than 500 were injured when Stephen Paddock fired into a crowd of concert-goers from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel on Sunday night. Isis had claimed the attack had been carried out by a "soldier of the Islamic State". This, however, appears not to be the case. FBI special agent Aaron Rouse said that investigators had found no links between the the shooting and any international terrorist groups. 'As this investigation continues we will continue to work with our partners to ensure that this is factually, thoroughly and absolutely investigated to be able to bring comfort and peace back to this community,' Rouse's statement said. Earlier on Monday, Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo had described the shooting as a "lone wolf" attack. Paddock's motive for the attack remain unclear.
