Facebook bans ‘voice of Trump’ from platform after interview video removed

The social media platform removed a video featuring Donald Trump from its site

Facebook has officially removed a video of Donald Trump being interviewed by his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, it has been revealed. This comes after the former US President was banned from social media platforms, including Facebook, following his social media handling of the riots which took place at the Capitol building in Washington earlier this year. Lara Trump, a contributor to the US media company Fox News, posted the video of the interview on her Facebook page, only to find that it was quickly removed by the social media platform. Trump's 38-year-old daughter-in-law took to Instagram to share an email she received after posting the video of Trump on Facebook. The email informed her that the content featuring Donald Trump had been removed. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNENWoUrQVn/   The email said: "In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the account." The post, which has received over 75,000 likes on Instagram, was captioned:  "And just like that, we are one step closer to Orwell's 1984. Wow." Sean Hannity, a presenter on Fox News and a Trump supporter, was outraged by the decision to take down content featuring the former US president. On Twitter, he said: "Facebook removed a video of Lara Trump interviewing former President Donald Trump from its platform, saying it won’t allow anything "in the voice of Donald Trump." TONIGHT @AriFleischer and @JoeConchaTV respond to this extreme censorship." Following the riots at the Capitol building in January, President Trump was also banned from using Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
