A gunman is still believed to be at large following a series of shootings which have killed at least three people and injured one.
Police were called to two locations in Lake Cargelligo in New South Wales shortly after 4pm on Thursday.
Two different couples, a man and a woman, were shot in both locations within minutes of each other, reports Sky News.
Both of the women died, one man died, and another man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
While serious, his condition is reportedly stable. Police have been searching for the gunman and have blocked off the town to prevent him from escaping.
Police say they know the gunman's identity but do not yet know the motive behind the shootings.
They also do not know his relationship with with the victims.
Local state parliament politician Roy Butler said: "It's a terrible situation, and it's still live, so we don't have much information. My thoughts are with the victims and their families."
The shootings took place on a national day of mourning in Australia for the victims of the Bondi Beach attack last month.
