The new 'Premium' McDonald's restaurant will also serve a new range of high-end burgers, according to The Chosunilbo.
If successful, it will be the first of three South Korean branches to offer alcoholic drinks - the first three in Asia.
But the question on all our lips is whether this could lead to a McDonald's beer revolution here in the UK.
The official McDonald's line at present is: "This is not something that we have experienced customer demand for or something that fits with the family-friendly focus of our restaurants in the UK."
To us, that looks like a 'not yet' rather than a firm no - certainly the door is not firmly closed, and with the chain set to remove toys from Happy Meals, perhaps a move away from the 'family-friendly' approach has already begun.Lifestyle
