Given the bloody nature of war, film fans are familiar with seeing limbs blown off, blood spraying on the screen and enough cursing to turn the air blue.
Dunkirk isn't going to be that type of war film though because the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) have given it a PG-13 rating due to its "intense war experience and some language."
The film hasn't been given a rating in the UK or Ireland yet, but we're not expecting any difference between the final cut that's going to be screened in both territories.
Given the fact that Nolan has reinvented the comic-book genre with The Dark Knight, we're supremely confident that he can do the same with his WW2 actioner. In fact, the early word of mouth is that the film is as intense as hell.
Plenty of people agree with that statement, however there are also some doubters.

Before you ask, the answer is yes. Given that Harry Style is in the cast, *that* theory has also been doing the rounds.

All things considered, we're still going to be queuing up for Dunkirk when it's released on July 21st.
