Adam Sandler and his daughters star in new Netflix movie trailer

The film, which drops on August 25, is an adaptation of a coming of age novel of the same name by Fiona Rosenbloom.

The movie centers around Stacy Friedman, played by Sandler's daughter, Sunny, and her best friend, Lydia Katz, who have been best friends for years. However while Stacy is busy planning her bar mitzvah, Lydia ends up stealing Stacy's crush from her, causing them to have a huge fallout.

Directed by Sammi Cohen, and written by Alison Peck who adapted the screenplay from Rosenbloom's novel, the film stars Adam Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Sadie Sandler, and Jackie Sandler.

The film also features Idina Menzel, Samantha Lorraine, Sarah Sherman, and Dylan Hoffman.

The blurb for the novel, You Are So Not Invited To My Bar Mitzvah reveals a little more about what we could expect from the movie, reading: "Stacy Friedman is getting ready for one of the biggest events of her young life--her bat mitzvah!

"All she wants is the perfect BCBG dress to wear, her friends by her side, and her biggest crush ever, Andy Goldfarb, to dance with her (and maybe give Stacy her first French kiss .). But of course, things never work out quite the way you'd like them to. Her stressed-out mother forces her to buy a hideous beaded sequined dress that she wouldn't be caught dead in. Her mitzvahs are not going at all well.

"And then the worst thing in the entire world happens--Stacy catches her best friend, Lydia, making out with Andy! And thus she utters the words that will wreak complete havoc on her social life ...You are so not invited to my bat mitzvah!"

The movie begins streaming on Netflix on August 25.
