Pornhub offers to buy Vine claiming “six seconds is more than enough”

We think they're being foolish, it needs to be a least... three times longer than that.

You may have heard in recent days that Twitter will be shutting down Vine over the coming months. "We value you, your Vines, and are going to do this the right way," the company said in a Medium post. "You’ll be able to access and download your Vines. We’ll be keeping the website online because we think it’s important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made." But it seems that all may not be lost for those of you who love Vine, as adult website Pornhub have reportedly launched a bid to buy the six-second video looping service from Twitter. In a letter shared with CNET, PornHub VP Corey Price reached out to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to enquire of the social networking site would be willing to part ways with the micro-video app. "My company Pornhub, the leading adult entertainment site with more than 60 million daily visitors, has a lot in common with Vine," writes Mr Price. |Now, before you start rolling your eyes, hear me out Jack. "We’re interested in purchasing Vine from you. We figure since Twitter has dropped it and is having significant layoffs that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine." This comment is in relation to the weakening financial position of Twitter over the last few years, which necessitated in Twitter laying off some of their staff. We heard rumours that Pornhub will rename Vine "Gone in 6 seconds" if their bid is successful, but there's no official word on this as of yet...
