Wout Weghorst has seemingly tried to redeem himself with the Manchester United fanbase in a matter of days after using footage of an anti-Glazer protest for a promo video.
United take on Real Betis in the first leg of the round of 16 in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Erik ten Hag's side are looking to bounce back after their 7-0 humiliation against rivals Liverpool last weekend and Weghorst himself is also looking to restore some of his relationship with the fans.
Shortly after the defeat, footage of the Dutchman touching the 'This is Anfield' sign emerged, leading to the forward issuing an apology and explaining that he was trying to wind up international teammate - and Liverpool defender - Virgil van Dijk.
However ahead of Thursday's game, Weghost posted a promo video which contained footage of protests held by United fans against the club's owners.
Some people believe that the 30-year-old has done this in order to redeem himself to the supporters who criticised him.
One user said: "He’s a United legend in my books! #GlazersOut."
Another tweeted: "What a way to get the fans back on his side after the weekend’s antics."
A third said: "You can’t fool me, I’m familiar with your game."
"Lol. Man tryna win over the fans."
Ten Hag is expected to include Weghorst in the side for Thursday's game.
