"It's Denmark's biggest lingerie section, I understand."
With kick-off not until much later on this evening, the many Ireland fans that descended on Copenhagen for the massive play-off clash with Denmark found themselves with plenty of time to kill.
Not surprisingly, quite a few of them made their way to an Irish pub in the city, The Dubliner, which, by virtue of a planning quirk, happens to be located right next to a Victoria’s Secret outlet.
As a result, customers visiting the store on Saturday found themselves greeted with massive cheers when they exited the building by a big throng of Irish fans; we’re no good at judging the size of crowds, but we reckon there must be 17 million of them in attendance.
Pity the poor souls who thought their visit to a branch of the world’s most famous lingerie stores would go unnoticed; thankfully most of them seemed to take it in their stride.
