Watch: American hurdler impresses viewers with unusual pre-race intro

American athlete Devon Allen can consider himself unfortunate this week.

Competing in the World Athletics championships in London, he narrowly missed out on a place in the 110m hurdles final by 0.003 seconds. But that's not to say Devon didn't leave his mark... Ahead of his semi-final, the camera briefly trained on the 22-year-old, introducing him to those watching at home and on the big screens in the London Stadium. Now, it's not uncommon for athletes to use pre-match introductions such as these as an opportunity to show spectators a little bit of their personality.
