Grimsby Town fan Kenneth Meech was celebrating his team's 3-1 Conference victory over Barnet in February when the shark attack occurred, the BBC report.
The 1,000-strong crowd of Grimsby fans had taken dozens of inflatables to the game, including dolls, zimmer frames and beach balls.
But the 51-year-old fan got a bit overexcited, hitting a steward over the head with his blow-up shark three times at Barnet's home, The Hive.
Meech was found guilty of the bizarre assault and fined £800 at Willesden Magistrates' Court.
The Mariners fan described himself as 'deflated' after the court's decision. You couldn't make it up.
