Thibaut Courtois bodies Man Utd YouTuber after De Gea comparison

A picture is worth a thousand words...

Thibaut Courtois has responded to Mark Goldbridge after the YouTuber criticised several aspects of his goalkeeping in a comparison with Manchester United's David De Gea. Goldbridge's tweet addressed comments from Spain manager Luis Enrique, who recently explained his thinking behind his three goalkeeper picks, of whom De Gea was not one. "A goalkeeper should start the play and generate the first superiority, they must dominate the aerial play," Enrique told reporters I need a goalkeeper that transmits peace and calmness to me - and that doesn’t mean they won’t make mistakes, errors are part of football. But what they generate I like a lot." It doesn't take a genius to then work out why De Gea is not in the squad. This sparked a response from a lot of Manchester United fans, who clamoured to defend their team's shot-stopper, with Goldbridge posting: "All these Enrique quotes about De Gea...Dave just won players player of the year. "Courtois won man of the match in a UCL final and isn't quick off his line or good with his feet. "A keeper's first job is to save goals and we have one of the best in the business." https://twitter.com/markgoldbridge/status/1533436721240674304 Courtois obviously felt disrespected by this comparison after a season that has earned him so many plaudits, with many claiming the Belgian to be the best number 1 in the world right now. And so the former Chelsea man replied to Goldbridge with three photos of the aforementioned Man of the Match performance against Liverpool, rubbishing some of his critiques. With a simple shrug emoji, Courtois posted the following: https://twitter.com/thibautcourtois/status/1533555565942788098 The photos show the 'keeper coming off his line to dominate aerially against Liverpool's towering centre-back Ibrahima Konate on more than one occasion during the Champions League final.
