Now, if you're frustrated or just greedy, you can go straight to the good folk themselves and list them your demands. So instead of the usual announcements like team line-ups and bland quotes from training, the world of Twitter can be heard and they can dictate what they want announced.

What started off with real fans genuinely asking for light to be shed on certain issues, the 'announce' request became a tool to beat the club over the head with if they even tried to write about anything else on Twitter apart from whatever it was you wanted them to write about.
All summer, any update Manchester United had for their fans only sparked more and more fury and incessant replies of 'Announce Pogba'. Now, the whole thing has just spiraled out of control.
