Swansea “reluctantly” sack Garry Monk

Swansea City have parted ways with manager Garry Monk after less than two years.

The former club captain had led the club to a top-half finish last season, but a poor run of results prompted the board to let him go. Swansea have won just once since the end of August, a 2-1 win at bottom club Aston Villa, and currently sit one point above the relegation zone.
