England took the lead in the clash thanks to Owen Farrell's penalty kick, which flew past the right side of the left post. The 30-year-old doubled Eddie Jones' side's lead with another penalty kick in the 20th minute.
However, Australia made it 3-6 thanks to Noah Lolesio, who was a last-minute replacement in place of fly-half Quade Cooper, who was ruled out before the start of the match through injury.
Farrell then missed a penalty from around 30 metres, before Swain and Hill clashed in the 34th minute. There appeared to be some mutual hair pulling between the pair, which led the referee to go to the screen to check the potential foul play.
https://twitter.com/SkySportsRugby/status/1543186337481859074Hill seemingly pulled his opponents hair first, however, Swain could then be seen headbutting Hill. This led to Hill being sent to the sin bin for the hair pull, while Australia's Swain received his marching orders.
As a result, Jones' side got the penalty from that foul play, and began attacking in Australia's half.
However, despite being a man down, Australia ended up winning a penalty after Tom Curry went into a breakdown from the side - with Lolesio making no mistake with his kick.
At the time of writing, the two sides are tied 6-6 at half-time.
