Stanford goalkeeper Katie Meyer found dead aged 22

Her cause of death is still unknown

Stanford University goalkeeper Katie Meyer has died aged 22, the college has confirmed. She was found death at an on-campus location, but it is not yet known how she passed. She was studying international relations and history, and helped the university win the national championship in 2019 with two heroic saves in a penalty shoot-out. The university are also providing help to those affected by her passing and have encouraged students to check up on those around them as they process the shocking news.
