Spanish team becomes the first to name players from 11 different countries for La Liga game

Granada have broken new ground by becoming the first ever team in La Liga to name players from 11 different countries in their starting XI.

Four different confederations were represented in the matchday squad, which saw the strugglers move to within two points of safety with a 4-1 victory over Real Betis at  Los Cármenes. Oh, and one of the three substitutes to come off the bench, Panagiotis Kone, represents a 12th different country in Greece, while two more countries - Argentina and Portugal - were represented by unused subs.
