A seven-year old Hull City fan was struck in the face by a flare that was thrown into the crowd during the Tigers' Championship clash against Barnsley on Saturday. The child was left with injuries as a result of the incident, with a 17-year-old boy 'presenting' himself to the Humberside force on Saturday night. Police initially stated that they thought the flare had been thrown by another Hull supporter. "A 17-year-old boy has presented himself to Clough Road Police Station tonight and will now be questioned in connection with the incident," a Humberside Police statement said.
