Quincy Promes has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stabbing his cousin.
Reports in the Netherlands claim that the 31-year-old was sentenced on Monday after the court found charges of assault but found there was no attempted murder or manslaughter.
He will also have to pay damages of €7,000 [£5,973] to the victim.
Promes, who currently plays for Spartak Moscow in Russia, was arrested in December 2020 after an incident at a family party in July of that year.
The winger got himself into an altercation while hosting a family party in Abcoude, stabbing the individual with a knife and leaving him with serious injuries.
In addition to the 18 months he will serve for stabbing his cousin, Promes is also set to stand trial following allegations that he has been involved in drug trafficking.
The Public Prosecution Service have confirmed that he is being prosecuted for importing more than 1300 kilos of cocaine with a value of £65m.
Dutch outlet Het Parool claimed that two batches of around 650 kilos and 713 kilos of cocaine were intercepted in the port of Antwerp towards the end of January, 2020.
