Premier League star and Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arijanet Muric has broken his silence after being sent home from national team Kosovo for allegedly ‘breaking team rules’.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper left Burnley following their relegation this summer, switching Turf Moor for the newly promoted Tractor Boys.
Starting their 5-1 defeat at Manchester City and 1-1 draw at home to Fulham, the big keeper has quickly established himself as Kieran McKenna's number one choice.
Muric is also the number one keeper for Kosovo, having made 39 caps so far for his nation.
Starting their 3-0 defeat to Romania on Friday, he made five saves.
However, on Sunday, Kosovo announced that the goalkeeper and two of his team-mates were sent him for 'breaking regulations'.
A Kosovan Football Federation statement read: "Arijanet Muic, Edon Zhegrova and Florent Muslija have left the national team gathering due to breaking the regulations of the national team established by the manager and the federation.
"The FFK executive committee will decide on further measures against the players in question."
It was claimed that the three players had stayed out in a bar beyond the allotted time.
Muric has responded stating that the reports are 'not true' and 'not fair at all', as per The Sun.
"The decision for us was not fair at all, and the rumours that are circulating are not true at all.
"We went out to get food and not to party."
Resultantly, he will play no part in Kosovo's Nations League fixture against Cyprus due to his dismissal.
