Premier League club ‘tracking’ Marcus Rashford as they monitor situation closely

West Ham currently sit 14th in the league and have parted ways with manager Julen Lopetegui, appointing former Chelsea boss Graham Potter instead as they look to turn their fortunes around.

Talk Sport's Ben Jacob reported that West Ham are interested in bringing Rashford into the side on loan but appreciate they are in a tough battle for the Red Devils' academy graduate.

Yesterday it emerged that Rashford's brother and agent Dwaine Maynard is currently in Milan exploring the possibility of the want-away star signing a loan deal with AC Milan.

The 27-year-old did not train with the United squad at Carrington yesterday and instead trained alone.

David Ornstein at the Athletic previously reported that Borussia Dortmund had expressed their interest in a loan deal for Rashford.

The striker leaving for Germany would continue the trend of English players finding success in the German league, following on from the likes of Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane and Jamie Gittens, just to name a handful.

He has also been linked with a move to Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.

Rashford is looking to play himself into form to make Thomas Tuchel's 2026 World Cup squad with England, one of the key reasons he has already rejected moves to Saudi Arabia.

United ideally want to sell the player for £40million with all of that being seen as profit since Rashford is a product of their academy.

It would massively help the Reds who are finely balancing the books as they try to avoid breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules.

However, Rashford's high wages of £325,000 a week remains the largest stumbling block for interested clubs which is why a loan deal, with subsidised wages, is more likely.

West Ham also interested Chelsea duo Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka.
