Paul Pogba has admitted he 'wants to be loved' at his new club as he prepares to leave Manchester United at the end of the month. The 29-year-old, who is available on a free transfer in the summer after not having his deal at Old Trafford extended, is attracting interesting from former side Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. However, it appears that the French international wants to move to a club that will truly appreciate and value him. "Everybody wants to feel loved, everyone needs that in your soul to feel appreciated," he told Uninterrupted. "Everything you do even when you grow up, when you do a good thing you like to hear well done, nice, it's always been like that even adults we need that.

"It's always good to feel the work you do is appreciated that you're doing well that people are happy with yourself."

Pogba's underwhelming second spell

The midfielder has endured a difficult time since returning to Old Trafford for £89million in 2016, and registered just nine assists and one goal in 20 Premier League appearances last season - spending a lot of the campaign out injured. The Red Devils finished in sixth position in the Premier League and conceded a record 57 goals in their top-flight campaign. With new manager Erik ten Hag keen to implement a number of changes at the club, Pogba opted to leave United for a second time. He is now determined to make his next move a positive one both on and off the pitch.

"I just want the best for me. I'm thinking, putting everything together, take my time, and I'm just looking for the best," he added.

"I want to play football, be myself always, and enjoy what I do. I need to enjoy what I do because otherwise I cannot perform well. I don't want to be thinking negatively.

"We can be losing games, trophies but you have to be happy and enjoy yourself - that's what I'm looking for."

The Frenchman made a total of 233 appearances for the Red Devils, registering 39 goals and 51 assists during his time at Old Trafford.

Pogba to pocket 'loyalty bonus'

The 29-year-old will depart United with a £3.78million loyalty bonus when he leaves the club as a free agent at the end of the month. As reported by the Daily Mail, it forms part of the terms offered to Pogba to entice him back from Juventus for a then world record fee of £89m in 2016, having lost him to the Serie A giants for compensation of just £1.5m in 2012.
