But what makes it even more spectacular is the fact that the mystery punter decided to make use of the cash out option before Barcelona faced Real Sociedad on Saturday evening.
As you might expect, the punter - said to be in his late twenties - had backed the mighty Catalan club to win the match. However, Luis Enrique's men fell to a shock defeat against Sociedad which would have left him with nothing.
The bet was cashed out just 15 minutes before Barcelona kicked off at the Anoeta Stadium.
What a decision that was.
